Hong Kong 2-2 President’s XI
Air India team playing with three India current world cup players Shivender Singh, Gurbaj Singh and Vikram Pillay plus former Olympian Dhanraj Pillay, was proved to be too strong for the inexperienced Guangdong side whose key players were absent due to China National Team training camp in Jiangsu. Looking at the statistics, Air India managed just one penalty corner conversion and all the others were field goals.
Hong Kong against Presidents XI was a less tidy match with three yellow cards for dangerous tackles and Hong Kong Team Mustafa Mohammed was awarded a red card for abusing the umpire after the match. Both Howard Leung and Farooq Saeed had an excellent match for the Hong Kong and Presidents XI teams respectively.
