The East Asian Games 100 Days Countdown cum Torch Relay will take place this Saturday afternoon (29 Aug 2009) at Tsim Sha Tsui, Victoria Harbour and Wanchai Golden Bauhinia Square areas followed by an evening show. Hockey being one of the 22 sports at the Games, a representative from hockey has been invited to be one of the Torch Bearers. I am very pleased to announce that Mr. Asghar Ali will represent the Hong Kong Hockey Association at the Torch Relay. Asghar has been assigned Torch Bearer No. 32 and his route will be along Salisbury Road on the Tsim Sha Tsui East Promenade.
Many congratulations to Asghar for the honour and I hope to see many of you supporting the event at the scene or at home this Saturday.
