The Asian Hockey Federation has awarded the hosting of the Men’s Junior AHF Cup to Hong Kong.

This tournament will be contested by Under 21 Men’s teams from the so called “second tier” Asian nations which excludes India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan and China. In addition to the host nation, Hong Kong, teams from Bangladesh, Brunei, Chinese Taipei, Oman, Uzbekistan, Singapore and Thailand are expected to take part. The event will be held at King’s Park Hockey Ground from 23rd to 31st July. The tournament will be preceded by a warm up event in March when the Hong Kong U-21 team will take on three visiting teams in a modified version of the annual Quadrangular Tournament. The Hong Kong Hockey Association is seeking sponsors for both of these events.
