SM Sains Dungun school from Terengganu, Malaysia, came to Hong Kong last Friday and played a friendly match with our junior squad in Boundary Street. Our squad won 7-0.
The school specializes in hockey and the visitors are from one form class, all age around 15. Since it was a form class tour and there were only eight hockey players in the group, a 7-a-side match was arranged with our junior squad. Although we won by a big margin, it was not just one-way traffic. There were some very strong hits among the visitors and our goal was threatened several times.
The visitors prepared a trophy for the winner of the match and presented it to Kirsten McNeil, captain of the junior squad, together with a souvenir plague.
