社區推廣 - 大埔 Community Outreach Taipo

曲棍球是一種非觸碰式隊制運動，可以鍛鍊身體靈活性、手腳協調性、個人忍耐力、意志力和體能等。有利於培養刻苦耐勞的精神，以及團隊合作精神。曲棍球有接近一百五十年歷史。自1928年起成為恒常奧運比賽項目。香港曲棍球總會成立於1933年，每年舉辦本地不同組別的曲棍球聯賽和盃賽，以及派隊參加大型國際賽事(如亞運會等)，經過近年蓬勃的發展，近三千男女子球員參加每周的聯賽或盃賽。青少年方面，現時中學聯賽有大概四十支校隊。我們亦在各區球會及校隊發掘新星，徵召入我們的青年代表隊，進行每周集訓，備戰國際賽和海外訓練營。此外，我們目前有約二十個青苗曲棍球會(包括小學校隊)，超過八百個十二歲以下的小朋友參加每年的各個青苗曲棍球賽事。自去年開始，香港曲棍球總會和大埔體育會合作，在大埔區推廣這項運動。目前，大埔巨人曲棍球隊已有接近六十名球員，參加每周的訓練，並且在成立一年內參加的賽事獲得好成績。 Hockey…
