The recently crowned Hong Kong Premier Division champions, Pakistan Association A will go all out to clinch a third hockey title this Sunday 14 March at King’s Park Hockey Ground. Having already secured the Guru Nanak Cup two months ago, they face a resurgent Shaheen A team in the Super League Cup Final which commences at 5:00 p.m.

Shaheen, a dominant force in local hockey in recent times, struggled in the top league this season having seen some of their star players breaking ranks and joining other clubs. With the acquisition of Ahmed Abd Alla Ewis-Khamis, a prolific hockey goal scorer of Egyptian background, Shaheen lately has won crucial matches to move into the Cup Final.

Will the twin strike force of Ashgar Ali and Ahmed be able to uproot Pakistan Association?  It promises to be a thriller.

The Cup final will be preceded at 3:15 pm by the clash between Valley A and Khalsa A for the Super League Plate Final. That game should also be a close encounter.
