Winner of KO Bowl – Police Ladies
The Winter League of the Women’s Section concluded last Saturday with the Bowl and the Saucer Finals completed. KCC C emerged as winner of the Saucer Competition defeating LHT 2-1 in the penalty shootout after drawing 0-0 full time. The Kowloon Cricket Club (KCC) enjoyed dominance in the Knockout Competition this year as their A and B teams won the Cup and Plate in the previous weekend.
The Police Ladies team defeated WS Jasmine 3-0 to take the Bowl. The match was not one-way traffic. While Police showed skills and experience, the Under-14 girls matched them during periods of the game with their fast counter attack, particularly on the left flank, only failing to capitalize the chances.
The official prize presentation ceremony will take place at the AGM on June 21 at the King’s Park Hockey Ground Conference Room. Divisional trophies and player awards will also be presented. More information about the AGM will be announced separately.
